Optimize the Communication Cost of 5G Internet of Vehicles through Coherent Beamforming Technology

Edge computing, which sinks a large number of complex calculations into edge servers, can effectively meet the requirement low latency and bandwidth efficiency be conducive to development Internet Vehicles (IoV). However, servers mean big cost, especially for 5G scenario in IoV, because small coverage base stations. Fortunately, coherent beamforming (CB) technology enables fast long-distance transmission, gives us possibility reduce stations without losing whole network performance. In this paper, we try adopt CB on IoV scenario. We suppose arrange roadside nodes helping transferring tasks vehicles station based technology. first give mathematical model prove that it is NP-hard cannot solved directly. Therefore, design heuristic algorithm an Iterative Coherent Beamforming Node Design (ICBND) obtain approximate optimal solution. Simulation results show greatly cost communication infrastructure.
